A day long awareness programme regarding human trafficking was organised by Rangpo mining secondary school with the special initiatives of Rangpo nagar Panchayat vice president cum by profession lawyer Mrs. puspa misra .
Sikkim child and woman’s right commission chairman Mrs. manita Pradhan and SDPO Rangpo L Palmo chhetri and labour department joint commisnor Mr. c gyatso was present as a chief resource person of the programme .between the special presence of Rangpo nagar Panchayat member Mrs. aaita Maya gurung ,school managing committee members ,students from class six to ten Mr. c gyatso joint labour commisnor providing details of labour laws implemented in the state stressed regarding the labour department duty among the state residents .he asked that labour department is the bridges of units and man workers if any man workers has any type of complain they are free to take the help of the department officials .child labours act is implemented in the state so he appealed all the residents to follow the norms and notification .welcome address given by school headmistress Mrs. mala jigdal dorjee and conducted by Rangpo nagar Panchayat vice president Mrs. puspa misra Rangpo SDPO Mrs. l palmo in her address specially stressed regarding human trafficking and child labour cum responsibilities and duties of police and civil society to control this illegal work .she appealed every students ,guardians and residents to support to police in stopping such type of drives in the area .she asked that she has installed suggestion box at Rangpo and Singtam to provide and suggest from everyone regarding any type of work or police complain .one of the students has avail the benefit of this suggestion box and was appriciatable suggestion .police department of Rangpo are trying to implement t the suggestion as soon as possible .Mrs. manita Pradhan chairman child and woman’s right commission addressing the programme specially appreciated the steps and initiatives started by Mrs. puspa misra . she asked that Sikkim is a peaceful state in the country and human trafficking Case is in primary stage .as police and government is trying from their level best to completely remove such type of incidents from the state if civic society ,clubs ,ngo and associations ,may also support in the drive the mission may go fruitful and is expected to complete the dream to make the state rogmukt ,sokmukt and free from the case like human trafficking .21st century is the century of information so she appealed everyone to take information of surrounding ,areas ,state country and world and also appealed to make habit of reading newspaper .
