The
 Darjeeling hills has again erupted in violence after today’s rape 
attempt incident in Ghoom-Bhanjyang by a RAF jawan. Following the 
showdown in Darjeeling, an infuriated mob in Kalimpong too set a state 
bus on fire around 9pm.
The bus that leaves for Siliguri every 
morning at6:15am has been reduced to ashes. The bus with registration 
number WB 76/3028 was parked at the motor stand when a crowd of people 
provoked by the incident set it on fire.
The police reached the spot along with 
the fire brigade, but could not douse the flames. A shop in the vicinity
 has also been partially affected by the fire, according to reports. The
 police have started investigations and deployed additional forces at 
the motor stand area.
