-24hours nationwide strike called by 11 associations was totally failure in Sikkim .all the business establishment was opened and vehicles were running smoothly. Vehicles between Sikkim to kalimpong,Darjeeling and kherseong was also running without problem. though the vehicular traffic between siliguri –Sikkim was totally crippled. The Sikkim nationalised transport and private bus service was also suspended. no any small private or taxi vehicles was plying.in Sikkim too central government offices, post offices ,nationalised banks, office of bhataratia sanchar nigam limited was goes on strike and closed for whole day. At Rangpo also all the nationalised banks, post offices,bsnl office was closed. surprisingly the abolishion of labour contractor is also included in the demand list produced by the 11 national association is similar to the demand of All Sikkim democratic labour front demand is a positive issue regarding the said demand. As ASDLF is already raising voice to abolish the labour contractor policy in the state from couple of year.
