Fire broke out at Mamring

Major fire broke out at mamring south Sikkim in the midnight of 28th February claimed two houses totally burnt and more than fifty labour class families homeless. According to the news the yesterday at 12.30 pm Rangpo police got an information regarding fire razed at mamring .immeadetly Rangpo police in charge PI Mr. Sonam wangdi along with other police personals and fire department officers and staff along with one fire tender reached the spot and controlled the fire with the help of local residents in two hours. The two story building of jasodha Chettri and one wooden structure house of rudra bahaadur mishra is totally burnt. the relief camp is started under the initiative of area Panchayat member Mrs. asha kharel,social worker sanjeet kharel,t p khaarel,Arun gurung ,is started and fooding along with temporary shed construction is started by the mamring samaj.area mla cum building and housing minister Mrs. tilu gurung.SDM south Mr. purna yonzon,ex minister dr d p kharel,senior officers of forest department along with range officer Mr. b s tamang.namchi police incharge pi c b basnet has visited the spot and has provided the relief to all the victims also assured full support from all side. the local residents has specially thanks Rangpo police in charge pi Mr. sonar wangdi along with his police team and fire station officers and staff for tremendous work done in this emergency.
