Advocacy meeting of PRI”S municipal NGO”S ASHA”S workers on eye disuse was organised by national programme for control pf blindness under national rural health mission at Singtam district hospital .attended by workers of ASHA and aaganbadi workers , delegates from various ngos ,club ,association and farmers club was also present in the programme. from the department dr b p dhakal HOD of eye clinic of Gangtok STNM hospital .dr pramila giri programme officer of the NPCB Sikkim ,dr indira Chettri ,dr tshring laden chief medical officer of Singtam district hospital ,dr upasana gurung medical officer Rangpo primary health centre ,dr indira Pradhan from Gangtok and eye specialist of Singtam district hospital named dr karma lodey was attended .programme started with the special orientation by dr tshring laden CMO Singtam and dr karma lodey eye specialist from Singtam district hospital ,dr B P Dhakal HOD from eye centre STNM Hospital Gangtok addressing the meet givan the full details regarding the facility provided by the eye centre in Gangtok from last fifteen years .he specially stressed regarding the eye screening camp organised by the ngo ,clubs and association in the different part of the state .he asked that by organising the screening camp some ngo ,clubs and association are making foal with the patients by giving many false assurance he appealed all the clubs ,associations members to avail facility provide by the Sikkim .he also requested to come forward for those facility which is not available in the state.regurding the cataract operations he announced that three day long free eye treatment and cataract camp is going to organise on the month of July for which screening g camp is going to organise at all the PHC of the area for Rangpo on 21st June the day long free eye screening camp At is going to organise at Rangpo primary health centre .he requested all the ASHA Workers,NGO,CLUBS ,associations to success the said screening programme.
