According to the news in the 1997 puri sankaracharya has named the Rangpo and tista river sangam place as indrakil prayag. State government has also taking initiatives to develop the area .
in other side the residents of west Pandam constituency has come forward for the exploring the area .the residents has decided to organise eleven days long sri indrakil prayag Rangpo virat shiv mahayagya from 20th july to 30th July .in this eleven days long spiritual programme sri mad shivmahapuran pathkatha ,maharudrabhisek .lakchyahawan ,satchandi ,lakchyawati ,prajawallan ,sringar arati and sani puja shall organise .to make the programme a grand and historical the high level committee under the president ship of Mr. swaminath Prasad .
