Baha’i School Tadong has brought laurels to the state by excelling in
the REGIONAL LEVEL CBSE SCIENCE EXHIBITION 2012 held at GEMS NPS
International School, Guwahati from August 9 – 10. Four students
Sonam Tshering, Sushil Agrawal, Sushma Darnal and Mohit Prasad (all
four from class IX) had represented the school along with Sunita
Sharma as their escort teacher.
They were divided into two groups with two different exhibits. The
exhibits were (1) “Green Building – a sustainable building” theme on
Energy Resources and Conservation and the other was (2) “Earthquake
resistant houses” theme on Disaster management. Out of these two
exhibits of our school the 2nd exhibit on the topic of “Earthquake
Resistant Houses” theme on Disaster Management has been selected as
one of the ten best exhibits. The school has gained entry to the CBSE
National Level Science Exhibition, which will be held in Delhi
sometime in September later this year.
There were 55 exhibits based on different themes participated from all
the eight north eastern states. The judges of the exhibition not only
visited the entire exhibit houses but also asked the students relevant
questions regarding their exhibit.
The students had the privilege to attend the exhibition and get the
experience of participating in a regional level programme organized by
the CBSE. At the moment Baha’i School is busy for the preparation for
the National Level CBSE Science Exhibition.
