KURSEONG
A fire broke out in a wooden house
around 10:30 am today at the St. Mary's Hills area of Kurseong. The
blaze soon turned everything to ashes, lamented house owner Dilip Singh.
However, no one was injured as the house was empty when the fire broke
out.
Neighbours tried to douse the flames but
were unsuccessful as the house was made entirely of wood. They informed
the Kurseong fire service but everything had burned away when the
personnel arrived. All important documents and household items have been
destroyed, said Singh.
