Kalimpong was once again fluttering with
the green and yellow flags of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha today. They
were hoisted across town by Gorkha Janmukti Vidyarthi Morcha cadres
prior to their foundation day on November 15. GJVM sub-divisional
committee president Dipen Thapa said the programme will be attended by
the GJM brass such as Harka Bahadur Chettri, Swaraj Thapa, Sikkim
University student representatives and others. The GJVM leadership also
plans to conduct workshops on the occasion.
Thapa added there is a possibility of
GJM chief Bimal Gurung attending the event. He also used the occasion to
appeal to everyone to keep the town area clean as Kalimpong is
increasingly becoming dirty.
