Gorkhaland agitation back to street: GJMM
Darjeeling, July 11: To reciprocate the Telangana issue, GJMM held a meeting in Darjeeling with its subsidiaries organizations at Gorkha Rangamanch today. A resolution was adopted in today’s meeting that the Gorkhaland movement will be initiated back to street if Delhi fails to specify Gorkhaland issue.
However, it will be decided based on Delhi’s decision on Telangana issue tomorrow. If Gorkhaland issue is not taken up into consideration along with Telengana issue tomorrow by the Central government, the meeting of GJMM today decided to bring the Gorkhaland agitation in the street afresh.
Meeting also adopted the resolutions to send the memorandum regarding the same to Sonia Gandhi, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Dr. Man Mohen Singh. ‘Agitation for Tarai and Dooars will also be held in the hills of Darjeeling’, said Roshan Giri after the meeting today. He also said that the Gorkhas of India should be justified as per our demands under the Indian constitution.
