A general body meeting of Majhitar samaj Kalaayn Samity was organized yesterday at Majhitar at the residence / premises of Purna Kumar Majhi, treasurer of the samity.This was presided over by President of the samity Smt. Maya Century & attended by Tikaram Pradhan ex- inspector Sikkim Police, Rtd Sub inspector Shri H.B Chhetri, Purna Kumar Majhi, treasurer, Suren Lama, advisor Vivek Century, & office bearer Smt Ranjana Subba member audit wing & president youth wing Mr. Biswa Gurung ,Dr D. S Tewari advisor along with all members of the samity.The meeting started with welcome address by T. R Pradhan, wherein he informed the house regarding the needs of sincerity, honesty, punctuality, sence of belonging together with civic sense & predisposition to comply every thing abide by law. He welcomes youths in particular to thrust aside conspiracy to destroy others properties kept on the road side with trust on fellow citizens.Desruction as such is not the way to get evenhandedness from authority. So he highlighted on the objective of the samity was to root out social evils. After this there was discussion on the status of Samity & fund position, proper accountability & maintenance of register was the area of discussion. The samity also resolved to open joint account in Union Bank Majhitar in order to systematize money transaction. The meeting also resolved to stream line garbage disposal system &the youth wing of the Samity taken over the charge of paying Rs 1000/ per month to Rangpo Nagar Palika & also to collect money as per specification from every house owner .They assured to maintain clean environment in the close proximity, which may admits clean, healthy &natural scenery.Mr. Beiswa also suggested to use ecofriendly material & devices at home along with biodegradable bags in place of polyethane bags. After this Dr D.S Tewari deliberated on the needs of social feelings in each individual of the samity. He informed that selfish motive, self centred mind may be the hindrances of social organization .Maintenance of transperancy, and equality & vision towards Govt. mission are most for each society. The house also resolved to control drug addiction by checking drugs peddler of society. Burglars, drunker’s & any others illegitimate action has to be controlled by the samity.After this Maya Century beamed on the future course of action. She informed the house on different program of Govt to develop entrepreneurships in unemployed youth. She strongly condemned the tendency in youth to burn others properties or to damage. She suggested that we should admire the work in progressive line done by Honorable Chief Minister. After this the house also resolved to conduct next meeting on 8th April 2012.
